We Suck at Blogging

Well, it has come to this... a Montgomery is writing this blog post, and it's not the female. A lot has happened since the last post. Here's a brief list.

  • We had a kid, and we named him Pierce.
  • He had a birthday.
  • We lived in San Diego.
  • We don't live in San Diego.
  • We live in North Carolina.
  • I'm getting my MBA because it's lame if your wife has a Master's degree and you don't.
  • Here's some pics.
Love you all.

Here's the kid.

Here's the birthday.

Here we are in North Carolina at Wake Forest University.

Buddy's Room

Let me tell you one of the most adorable things about Buddy's room...

...how often Brett goes in it, just to look at it.

Its pretty adorable.

Usually in the morning and at some point, and during the evening, Brett will go in Buddy's room and just look at it. Tender.

MILKaholic Baby Shower

I had yet another AMAZING baby shower this past week, in the desert with good family friends and some friends from high school.

It was just SO great!

The detail was incredible and the amount of time and effort made by my mom's friends was just so super, super kind of them.

I had a blast hanging with everyone, the phenomenal desserts etc.

THANK YOU!!!!!! (Becky, Jan, & Sharla)

My mom, commented that two of the most amazing baby showers she's ever been two have been this last month for me. First the bow-tie themed one in San Diego, and then the Milkaholic one in the desert.

I couldn't agree more...I am so lucky to have been "showered" so beautifully :)

The Invitation

How beautiful/cool is that cake?!

The party throwers extraordinaire.

My girls

My niece Avery was my little helper and kept saying "open more, open more", she was pretty much in heaven I think between the presents and the desserts...it was pretty much heaven for me too, who am I kidding!

Brett's family came down for the occasion it was so great having them there!

Some more great friends.

My handsome Brett even made an appearance.

Boys Bowties & Brunch

I seriously have the best friends.

And I'm not just saying that because they threw me the most amazing shower.

They are really the BEST! So thoughtful, kind, cute and oh-so-fun!

I am one VERY lucky girl!

The shower had a bow-tie theme, which I LOVED, because my "baby daddy" (aka. husband Brett) has a whole day dedicated to this accessory...its called "Bow-Tie Thursdays." :)

Also, my amazing mom and adorable sister came to town just for the occasion. They are THE BEST too!

Valentine Card Party

Last year I tried a little craft party for Valentine Card making.

It was SO fun I thought I would do it again this year...

and it was just as fabulous!

AND

I made sugar cookies, which I tried to make look like sweet tarts candy.

Kate helped me frost them - some of the sayings have a more "contemporary" flare, then you might find in your normal box :)

Boston Babymoon

Back in October Brett and I took a Babymoon to Boston, MA.

It has ALWAYS been a dream of mine to go to Boston in the fall.

And, well, it finally came true.

And, don't worry it did not disappoint...it was fab.

It was also the first trip we had taken alone, as a couple, since our honeymoon about 2 1/2 years ago. So it was time.

I just love traveling with Brett.

He takes care of me and caters to my travel needy-ness (necessities like, warmth, regular meals, random hot chocolates etc.).

On the other hand Brett is very non-needy as a travel companion, so the situation really works out great for me.

Here are some of the highlights.

Joseph Smith Birth Place in Vermont, was really beautiful and had such a peaceful feeling. I wasn't originally super "gun-hoe" about driving the 3 hours to visit it. But it was seriously worth it! The drive was beautiful, the missionary couple there was adorable, and it was overall such a great experience.

Monument Commemorating every year of the prophets life with one foot.

Yep, this is what I call a "Magical Tree." I found it around the corner from the church we went to in New Hampshire.

I took this "artsy" picture of the Boston Temple from inside the car, as it was raining. Brett just called it a bad photo, I was not able to convince him of its artsy-ness.

Shot heard round' the world, was here.

Road from Lexington to Concord.

Little Italy Area of Boston.

Downtown on the Freedom Trail.

Paul Revere's House, one of the oldest in Boston.

JFK Memorial Library.

Me "enjoying" Fenway Park on a very cold/rainy day.

Brett actually enjoying Fenway Park.

Mike's Pastries, so delish, we went there twice!
