Two great things happened this week, on the same day:
1. Brett's basketball team, the UC 2 Ward, won the multi-stake tournament this week!! There were 56 teams in the tournament and they were UNDEFEATED!!! Go them! I was a good little wife and went to just about every game. And I must say the cutest part was watching all the post game man-love via text/emailing. They'd win a game and then talk about it ALL week. Adorable.

The three of us were there at just about every game. The games were fun, but really it was fun just to chat it up with these fun girls!
2. I got into graduate school at SDSU. I'll be getting my Master of Art, with an emphasis in interior design. I am SO excited! Let the countdown begin!!! Although I don't like Brett calling me an Aztec. I started at UCSD so it will always be my first love school. But hopefully that will change and I'll be a proud Aztec someday :)

Baby Shower

There was an alphabet theme. So cute!

My beautifully pregnant friend Alice...oh, one can only hope to look like her when pregnant.
The talented baby shower-throwers. They made/grew everything at the shower...I am still in awe at their Martha-ness.

Egg Hunt
Easter Preview
Yes, this did actually happen. My friend Sydney and I have some cool husbands. Since we don't have kidletts yet, we decided to hide eggs for the boys. They did so good and wore their little sunshine/flower headbands the whole time :) Thanks boys for letting us have a little laugh.
(More Easter pics to come)

Cupcakes...
THEN.....
AND NOW...
We continued our week long anniversary by getting cupcakes at the place we got them for our wedding. Its nice that we didn't have to freeze our cake, we could get fresh ones :) Unfortunately we didn't get to sit down and eat at the cute shop in Downtown San Diego, because we were parked illegally and there were shady men standing near our car.
Carrot Cake and Coconut Flavored, yum, yum!

Anniversary: Disneyland

Disneyland, was, awesome! I really had so much fun, and I'm an AP (Annual Pass holder) and go frequently. It was the first time Brett and I went solo and it was cool because we got to be selfish and only do the stuff we wanted to do. So we rode about 6 rides and got a Dole Whip. Hit all the highlights. And for those of you that have not been on the Toy Story ride at California Adventure two words, Life Changing.

Anniversary Numero Uno
That's right Brett and I made it a whole year! Go us! It wasn't really too difficult. Our Anniversary was this Sunday the 21st, so we've kinda been spreading out activities/celebrations to other days. Which I think is the way to go for any holiday, I say make it a week long extravaganza.
Saturday: Kite Flying at the Cliffs
Sunday: Gift exchange
Monday: Chipotle/ Mitt Romney Siting (sorry no pics)
Tuesday: Disneyland (pics to come)
Wednesday: Cupcakes (pics to come)
So, our five day long anniversary is going to be amazing :)

Pup
Today I was talking with Brett (I do this once in a awhile :) and I said that I wish I had something to blog about (mainly because I'm tired of looking at Vienna). He looked a little hurt and said, "ME!" Its true, I guess I could blog out my husband. This one's for you babe.
Lately I've been calling Brett "pup"...as in "What's up pup?" He does not like this. I told him its the perfect nickname because he is like a puppy. He's playful, energetic, whines sometimes if you ignore him, cute, fun, cuddly etc.
He then, sort of angrily said, "I don't even like puppies! I think I'm actually one of the few people in the world that is NOT a puppy lover."
So, he's not a puppy lover. But he'll always be my "pup".
*This pic, just for fun. Interestingly enough I couldn't find a picture of Brett with any sort of animal (sorry dad).

The Bachelor and "His Baby"

That could very possibly be my favorite line of the night, "Vienna's my baby." Gross.
-Does Vienna wear a different color other then that "sea mist" green. Someone must have told her she looks great in that color and now every article of clothing she owns is a hideous blue/green. However, surprisingly her "after the final rose" dress was pink, as ugly as THAT dress was it seemed a refreshing change.
-Jake's ties are as hideous as Vienna's dress selections.
-The sinky mud date made them look like Avatars...creepy.
-I'm glad Tenley didn't have to date Jake for a moment longer she deserves MUCH better. I bet Ali is EXTREMELY glad she didn't stay. I mean I would seriously question the character of a man that picks Vienna? Seriously. I wonder if that's why Jake has time to be on Dancing with the Stars, the airline fired him...they probably told him they just can't trust his judgement anymore :)
-Could her extensions have been any grosser, or her roots and more noticeable during the proposal. I think the editing team saw that footage, and they demanded that the stylist help Vienna on after the final rose. She looked partially normal...partially.
-I like Jakes comment, "I don't care if nobody in the whole world know's why I'm with Vienna, I do." Yeah, we don't know why...NOBODY in America does. But don't worry we DON't want to know the reason why, because its probably TMI.
-Why does this show bring out the worst emotions in me? I don't know, but it sure is a good time!! I'll miss you Bachelor....

Nauvoo
Our family trip to Nauvoo was quite eventful...
Tate and Eleece got married! (Brett's brother)
I took this cool tree pic.
We got our free brick at the brick yard.
We went to Carthage jail, where the prophet Joseph Smith was martyred
We went on the RLDS or "Community of Christ" tour, which included the mansion house.
We hung out in "Downtown Nauvoo"
Avery wore the purple beenie Brett made for her for the wedding (purple was Eleece's color)
We went to the temple, so amazing inside!
We saw an original copy of the Book of Mormon.
I put Avery's hair in a ponytail :)
We stayed at Sara's (a family friend) cottage.
We experienced 20 degree weather (hence all the jackets, and scarves, and hats, and boots)
We found the plot of land owned by my great, great...grandfather!
We went to the Mark Twain Museum in Hannibal, MO.
Cass did some sweet poses for us in our St. Louis, MO hotel.
We found out the we had two sets of twins at a subway in Missouri. If only Cass would have worn a chiwawa shirt to match Quinn...darn.
(Note: Me and Chad, fleece jackets and scarfs)
(Brett and Cassie, plaid shirts)
Avery fell asleep at the awesome Italian fast-food Fizzoli's.
We went to a famous custard place in St. Louis, Brett bought a shirt, its yellow.
We went up the St. Louis Arch, in a tiny claustriphobic sphere...and Blake farted.
Yuck, I am disgusted and Avery is in shock.
The arch is pretty much awesome, as long as the people you ride to the top with don't fart in confined spaces.
Our "crew", Brett, Blake, Me, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Dave. We hung out with them about 70%of the time while on the trip. I don't know how this worked out, but it was awesome!
