Royal Wedding

We are planning to immerse ourselves in THE Royal Wedding this evening, but I just thought this conversation between B$ and I was worth blogging.

Last Night - Discussing the longevity of William and Kate's Marriage

K: "I just really hope they make it, you know."

B: (solemnly) "We all do babe...we all do."

Brett is INTO the Royal Wedding, since he served his mission in England.

For instance he sings "God save the Queen" instead of "My country tis of thee." - seriously

Anyway, I am a lucky girl, to be married to someone who wants to watch hours of wedding footage with me tonight!

Whenever Brett begins to talk excitedly about THE wedding, I say, "That, is, MY MAN!"

Before and After to "swoon" over

Some renovation pictures from my new beautiful house....he he he. Well, really they're just from the Alice Lane Home Blog. But, they're still pretty fabulous, a girl can dream, right?

What I'm working on NOW....like right now

Trying to design an office space that maybe looks kinda like this....

In an historic building located near La Jolla Cove...

With possibly some interesting recycled furniture...

A roof top ocean friendly garden....

For the surfrider foundation....

And, something like these translucent nature panels might be cool too, right?!

But, don't worry my friends, its not a real project its all just for school.

Wedding Weekend

One of my very best friends from my hometown/youth got married this weekend. It was pretty exciting, since the sealing was in San Diego. Then we made the trek out to the desert for the day, but it was totally worth it.

It so fun seeing someone you've known since they were 11 years old get married. You spend many late nights talking about boys, weddings etc. and the day finally arrives - its cool, really cool!

Congrats Charity and Russell Slaugh!
(I sort of included this one (below) just so everyone could see my stoke smile. When I smile too big I show way more on the right side of my face. So, at least we know I was really happy in this picture :)

Key West

Key West...
What can I say, pretty surprising! Who knew a place in the "continental US" could be so tropical (well, its an island, but its still kinda connected by a 2 hour long bridge).

I had the pleasure of accompanying my fam. on this vaca. Although the other boys (trevor and brett) were missed, especially by my dad who was the only boy. I have to say that it was pretty fun just being with "my girls", and dad.

Especially my sister Kassidy, who is hilarious - I knew this already. But, what I didn't know was that she has great fighting skills (like karate style, or more like cage fighting style), she is also very curious as to my makeup habits and techniques.

In short, we had a blast. But who wouldn't with such a fun crew in paradise.

These are the pics...they are a collection of my mom and kassidy's pictures that I stole from their blogs, because lets be honest, I was too lazy to create my own compilation.

Enjoy!

Pretty adorable architecture.

Hemingway House
Pina Coladas -Tropical Vacation classic for me and my sis

Oh! Did I forget to mention that I vacation with celebrities. Yep, I do.
Her name is Robin Roberts, she is the host of Good Morning America. She was just chillin with some friends a couple of tables away from us at lunch.
The above picture is the classic - pretend to take a picture of your friend, but really you're trying to get a shot of the person behind them - SO CLASSIC!

Just add this to Krystle's Celeb list:
Jennifer Aniston (Check!), Bella's Dad from Twilight (Check!), Robin Roberts (Check!)
I don't know why my mom doesn't think I look cute in this hat?!

Me and my buddy (dad) after a long hard day in Key West

This is the island where I had my celeb siting :)

My dad was SO uncomfortable at the "Better Than Sex" dessert restaurant in the "rainbow pride" section of town - I have no idea why?
Another AMAZING restaurant "Mangia, Mangia" - One word for you, Homemade Pasta!

Yet another great place to eat "Commodore's" (please say this with a snobby British accent.)
At our hotel - we love to do not so cute faces when my mom wants to take a picture, we're so rude. Thanks for taking all the pics mom!
The road to Key West, pretty cool, huh?!
Kass and I called this one - the peep show. I'm pretty sure we ate all these on our way to Key West. I know we're pretty talented.

Last Week

Although last week primarily consisted of Brett on a sofa with his foot propped up comfortably on the coffee table with fluffy pillows. We did get out of our cave, I mean apartment :) and got a little sunshine.

We, enjoyed this little gem - The Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma. There is SO MUCH to do there that we bought an annual pass, since this is pretty much all we did this time (below).
(Don't worry, we will be excepting bribes to ride with us in our car so you can get in free, with our sweet pass.)

We had some great Q.T. this week. But, Brett did say at one point, "I'm not as cool as you thought was, huh?"

No, hun, you're way cooler! (just not quite as mobile)

High School Flashback

Charity - the bride

One of my very best friends from my childhood, had her bridal shower this weekend. So, I drove on out to the desert.

It was SO FUN seeing everyone from my old ward, except now they all have about two kids - so crazy! I was thinking I'm not that old - am I? But, I guess am getting up there :)

I'm really happy for my friend, its always nice to see them happy and "well matched" (I think I've been watching too many Jane Austen movies.)

Class of 03' - whoop whoop!

These two were my "best-ies" growing up in my ward...we had some good times, church dances, scary movies, trying to eat a whole large pizza by ourselves :), riding in convertibles pretending to talk on our new cellphones thinking we were SO cool - oh yeah!

Hop Along

Brett, had a bit of an accident the other day...

Well, more specifically - 2 weeks ago - AND he just got his "ankle sprain" checkout out, and, its really a broken foot.

Thank goodness we visited a friend in ER, because we wouldn't have gotten it checked. But, Brett said, "Lets just get it X-Rayed, just to be sure nothing is wrong."

Well....I was pretty ticked, I did not think it was broken. Staying in the ER on Saturday night for 3 hours was not my idea of a good time.

Brett responded to my anger at the situation by saying, "Fine, do you know what...I HOPE its broken."

Well....He showed me, it was definitely broken. Not only that, but he has SURGERY March 23rd.

(Here he is charming the nurses and saying things like, "I have a very high threshold for pain." and "It's ok, I have a metal elbow and screws in my hand")

Well, I know what you are all most curious about it how this is affecting me, right? :)

Well...
  • I can no longer sleep in past 7:30am because I have to get Brett breakfast, its a bit hard to transport cereal on crutches. (I know so sad for me)
  • Brett sleeps with his foot up on a pillow at night, so I can no longer warm my feet on his at night (I have it rough!)
  • I also cannot sleep through his shower and getting ready because the crutches are so loud. (man!)
  • Oh, and I have to make his lunch (bummer)
So, as you can see Brett having a broken foot is really affecting me. But, no need to feel sorry for me, I'll get through this one day at a time. :)

Okay, in serious now, I feel pretty bad for Brett. You could say he's pretty athletic and likes to do things, like running, jumping, surfing etc. He will not be able to do these things for at least 10 weeks. No fun.

He says he looks at all the people walking around and he gets jealous and wants to tell them they don't know how good they got it.

Here is another little side affect of his foot in a cast....instead of pairs of shoes strewn about, I now have single shoes strewn about...he he he

Loved It

This is the interior design - of my dreams - home. I first laid eyes on it when we went to the Parade of homes last month (one of my fav. things to do for Presidents Day).

Anyway...

I found out Alice Lane interior design company did it, and now I'm a little obsessed with them AND I have somewhere REALLY exciting to go next time I'm in Provo.

They just posted some AMAZING pics of my dream decor. Love it!

I think I would call this style - "Transitional" or "Retro/European/Contemporary/Fabulous"

Look Who I Stole...

LONDON!
Who just happens to be one of the coolest babies we know. Its SO fun having our friends the Call's upstairs.

I went upstairs to borrow a cup of sugar - and I got a baby too! What a deal :)
(Note: I requested the baby, Kate was not trying to pawn off her kid.)

I walked in the door and Brett said, "I was hoping you brought London back." Then he saw London and he couldn't have been more happy. Such a cute man.

We played with London for a few wonderful minutes and then her mom took her home.

*Yes, I should probably start dusting this random little shelf, don't judge.

Brett and I agreed, London-Bug really brings a lot of joy to our lives! (I know its not our child, we're just a little obsessed) We also agreed that if we were to have a baby like London, it wouldn't even barely be an inconvenience, she is the best!
